We love being contacted by our customers. Usually it's with a product enquiry or feedback. But recently we were contacted by John Gibson, a former dentist who has an altogether more important message to spread.
In October 2019, John and his family's lives were rocked by the news that his son, Cameron had taken his own life. After a lot of soul-searching, John decided to dedicate much of his time in the suicide community - mainly walking and talking with those impacted by suicide, to develop the concept of 'safe spaces' in suicide prevention and postvention (thecanmoretrust.co.uk)
A member of Edinburgh Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBS) group, John is currently walking from Land’s End to John O’Groats with the aim of opening up conversations around suicide.
"Suicide can happen to any family or community and so suicide is everyone’s business"
