Sutu Natural Reed Drinking Straws
If you want natural drinking straws that are sustainable, compostable, beautiful and feel as good as any plastic straw, try SUTU straws.
Each SUTU straw is created from an individual, sustainably harvested natural reed, grown around the UNESCO protected Sutu Bay on the gorgeous Baltic island of Saaremaa.
Every single SUTU straw is totally unique, with its own natural pattern. They are reusable, super-thin and feel light and smooth on the lips. They will last for months, and can be cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher (just make sure you dry them well to keep them in perfect condition!). Then, when you've finished with them, unlike so-called "corn plastic" or PLA straws, they are home-compostable and will naturally biodegrade in a matter of months,
SUTU straws are 100% natural. After harvesting and a period of natural drying, they are sorted, cut to size, polished and heat-treated to give them a perfect finish. Each batch undergoes thorough lab testing to ensure it is of the highest quality and hygiene levels, and is approved by the Veterinary and Food Board of Estonia, All of this happens just yards from where they are harvested on the beautiful island of Saaremaa, at the side of the Sutu Bay conservation area.
